Just a baby non-binary trans woman. I like videogames, work remotely in Data Science...

I still haven't received the rest of my trans starter pack: my programmer socks, mini-skirt and Blåhaj.

In the middle of converting into a feisty costarican latina.

Hi, I'm an actual AI researcher (or I was, until I shifted subfields)!

This is impressively incorrect to the point of being completely detached from reality. AFAICT Will is buying the hype about "reasoning models", which are really just passing their input back to themselves for checking.
Yes, AIs think. You can read their thoughts as they have them. AI companies hide the AI’s thoughts because other AI companies might read them and use those thoughts to train their own AIs. This is all very strange and astonishing science fiction territory but it’s real.
Oh, they "think," do they?

Because that article is one of the best comprehensive critic of LLMs that exist nowadays.

He's fucking that missile so hard because femoids can't appreciate a guy as nice as him.
I'm sharing this off their website not so that we can make fun of this because it is not funny at all,

But.

This picture of a man hugging/cradling a cruise missile in a sortof erotic way encapsulates more about their ideology than a book can.

Lots of journalists have learned this firsthand over the past decade—they’ve watched coworkers and peers at other publications make the most reasonable asks imaginable in contract negotiations and watched their employers respond by spending millions on lawyers who drag it out for years and then lose
It always seems like it can't be true, but it is: American businesses often pay more to try to defeat a union drive or contract negotiation that they would if they recognized the union and agreed to better pay and benefits prospect.org/2026/09/08/u...

Is your boss making you sit through anti-union propaganda meetings? It turns out those are pricey.

Yes, now that you mention it, 'Mustn't condemn or punish fascist action; it might cost us the fascist vote,' does sound like a pretty naive and self-destructive way to conduct and safeguard liberal democratic politics. Nevertheless,

This is one of those things that people who don't pay much attention to politics genuinely can't believe when you tell them
this genuinely is not true. the Constitution says surprisingly little about the Supreme Court and its powers. almost all of the Supreme Court's powers were granted by the Supreme Court to the Supreme Court.
In many ways, the Constitution’s distribution of power makes the Court much more like a monarch than it does the President

Whether that’s good design is a separate issue, but I think it’s a useful lens for understanding why the Court feels “special” like this

Young female athletes in Washington schools would likely have to obtain genital exams to participate in school sports, if a controversial ballot initiative passes in November.

In the last few days I have been thinking about how the concept of "dog whistle" can be applied to all propaganda against trans people.
Then I realized that the "dog whistle" also serves the supposed allies of trans people because it allows them to ignore the "dog whistle" itself and do nothing.
I've seen the most optimistic and hopeful and brightest of my sisters turn cynical and bitter and expect nothing but loss and betrayal at every turn and I don't know why but it's just getting to me today.
