whenever I watch an anime that I can tell has influences outside of anime, it makes me feel more strongly about how animation is a MEDIUM and not a GENRE and when it is fully behaving as a genre, you have a problem

my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.

Sewing the current state of everything regarding the trade negotiations or lack thereof with the USA, I find I just boggle. Especially seeing some of the "hot takes" on places like threads.

Haven't shared here in a bit but I ended up with two new dolls over the last few months. One is a Resinsoul 1/6 Wei, who I fell in love with because of her dainty fingers and tiny claw like nails. And a Missmian Laila who has been a grail doll since I saw her last December. 1/2

Best Z Chinese food. A little place next to St Clair station that I discovered too late was absolutely fantastic and incredibly well priced. I ate there a handful of times before it closed, and insult to injury that space has been vacant for nearly a decade - they never filled it after the reno.

Well this feels timely.
As we're discussing "disabled enough" again, because our society makes us all second-guess ourselves, last October I took my girlfriend to Disney World.
Not a unique occurrence, except that she'd been having medical issues, and was worried about being able to do anything at all to enjoy the Parks.

Anyway if you've ever found yourself wondering if you're "disabled enough" for a mobility aid: see if you can find a way to try it out.
If it improves your life, then yes, it's for you.

1. I love frogs. Like, really, really love frogs. Like "got a herpetology degree" love frogs.

One of the best things I have done for myself is buy a cane. It was such a big mental hurdle and yet when I need it, it's made such a huge difference. This weekend being a huge one, where I doubt I would have been able to enjoy the cottage if I didn't have it. Also Bluewater beach is stunning.

#SDCC comic con: our daughter left her 3D printed black dragon in the restroom near E/Starbucks. She printed it herself and is devastated. We checked the restroom and lost and found which means someone picked it up. If you bring it to 5552 I will give you a signed comic as reward
