In the wake of Arday's death, Nathan Cofnas (who led the X mob against him) states his motivation. Beyond whistleblowing, he states that after a 'revolution' removes professors like Arday, it will open opportunities for him to become 'head of the department of eugenics and race science at Harvard'.

Decided to write to Heir Harmer one final letter after he announced his resignation
Dear Keir, I was sorry to hear of your resignation as Prime Minister. Not because I wanted you to remain in office, obviously. That would be a strange hobby, akin to collecting wasps or voluntarily doing EHRC consultations. Still, it feels only right to write to you as one of the trans women your government spent several years treating as a constitutional emergency. We have, after all, shared a relationship of sorts. You attempted to erase me from public life, and I stubbornly continued existing, which must have been enormously frustrating. When you first became Labour leader, many of us made the mistake of assuming you possessed political principles. This now feels rather like buying a ticket for a train that turns out to be a bus, except the bus is on fire and is being driven by a chimpanzee. Your government discovered a remarkable political strategy: identify one of the smallest, least powerful minorities in the country, blame them for absolutely everything, and then act surprised when none of the country's actual problems disappear. The NHS remained broken. Housing remained unaffordable. Public services continued to collapse. Rivers still contained more sewage than fish. Yet somewhere in Whitehall, somebody was apparently convinced that the real barrier to national renewal was me quietly trying to buy shampoo. I particularly admired the constant insistence that none of this was about trans people. Restricting our healthcare was not about trans people. Restricting our rights was not about trans people. Removing us from public life was not about trans people. It was an impressive achievement in political communication, rather like insisting that rain is not about getting wet. You spent years assuring the public that trans women represented a danger to women, despite the complete absence of evidence that people like me posed any threat whatsoever... Meanwhile, the actual violence women experience remained stubbornly committed by the same men it has always been committed by. Hell you even hired some of them. Somehow, however, I became the problem because I have the audacity to want to take a piss in peace. The strange thing about being the target of a moral panic is that one eventually develops a certain affection for one's own resilience. Every newspaper column predicting my disappearance merely confirmed that I was still here. Every speech about "common sense" served mainly to demonstrate how uncommon it had become. Every attempt to legislate me out of existence required first acknowledging that I exist. This must have been tremendously irritating. Your political career increasingly resembled a man attempting to extinguish a fire by pouring petrol on it while insisting that he was merely asking difficult questions. The result was neither clarity, nor public confidence, nor social cohesion. It was simply a great deal of cruelty dressed up as moderation. The irony, of course, is that governments come and go. Prime ministers resign. Cabinet ministers vanish into consultancy firms... Trans people remain. We remained before your government. We remained during it. We will remain long after your speeches have been archived and your former colleagues have started appearing on panel shows explaining why they privately disagreed with everything all along. You attempted to make my existence negotiable. Unfortunately for you, I never signed the contract. So enjoy your retirement. Take up gardening. Learn pottery. Perhaps finally visit one of these women's toilets that apparently determined the fate of the nation, because after years of hearing about them, I assume they must contain either the Ark of the Covenant or the Crown Jewels. As for me, I intend to continue doing the one thing your politics could never quite account for: existing. Yours sincerely, A trans woman who declined to comply with the bullshit
