(1-3) In recent bioRxiv article from Cristina Rodriguez's lab @Yale the authors measured both GDD and third-order dispersion (TOD) directly at the objective focal plane at 1300 and 1600 nm.

I hope you’ll have a chance one day to see the images captured with Ventana. Also offered with its holographic optogenetics option and supported with Monaco laser. Ventana truly offers a window into the brain at scale! And the brilliant people behind it are another reason why it is so special. 🚀🧠🥳🤓
Check out this compact 920 nm ultrafast fs laser for 2p imaging of GCaMP, etc.. Mounted on its side like this, it takes up very little space on the table.

That's the Axon 920, generously loaned to the course thanks to @ewadorotaz.bsky.social and others at Coherent. It's what we use on our own rigs.

Glad I took this selfie before poster session opened this morning. It started at 9 and then it was 1 pm quickly. I did not drink, I did not eat. Thank you all who stopped by my poster at #FENS2026. I loved to talk to you all about lasers. Happy imaging.

Very interesting session this morning at #fens2026 on All-optical voltage imaging for neuronal circuits dissection. Few questions - how much more improvement can come from optimizing excitation source vs engineering better sensors? Are newer GEVIs shifting 2p excitation away from 920-940 nm range?

At #fens2026 and available to brainstorm with you how to improve two-photon image quality for fast imaging with photons craving fluorescent probes. Send me a msg and let’s chat indoors over iced coffee! Outdoor temp reached 37 C! 🫠

Excited to share our first lab preprint! We enabled fast wide-field FLIM with low noise and high dynamic range. We built compact resonant modules for EO-FLIM that fit into your hand and developed methods to capture multi-exponential phasor plots at up to 500 Hz.

Great few days at @mblscience.bsky.social supporting Neurobiology and NSB courses. It’s always exciting to see how ultrafast laser technology help enable new #neuroscience imaging methods. A big thank you to organizers, instructors, students, Coherent and others for making this event spectacular.

👉3P isn't about more laser power. It's about the right rep rate, one pulse per pixel, and laser stability. If you are not measuring pulse-to-pulse noise you're not measuring your biology.
