Had my first shitty customer who, instead of simply returning my ATC Starter Kit bc they have those items at home, decided to berate me for a good 10 minutes for daring to sell an item I spent a lot of time and money and thought putting together.

What a messy B. 🙄

The poem was written by Hiba Abu Nada.
She and I would be a similar age, but she died in her home from an Israeli airstrike in 2023.

[ #gaza #israel #hibaabunada #poetry #illustration #watercolor #dontlookaway ]
a small card (2.5x3.5 inches) depicting ink and watercolor art. In the middle there is a "bleeding" watermelon. Written text says "Our family photos, a bag of limbs, a pile of ash, five wrapped shrouds alongside one another of various sizes. Family photos in Gaza are different, but they are together, they were together, & they departed, together". This poem was created by Hiba Abu Nada, who was my age-- or would be, if she had not died from an Israeli airstrike in 2023.

"the price of love is grief"

[ #aceo #artisttradingcard ]
[ #art #grief #loss #watercolor #collage #bskyartist ]
an artist trading card. There are collaged words in the top left that say "love / makes the heart sing / can never be equaled / there is nothing better". The positive sweetness of this message is rather at odds with the rusty-red, almost blood-like paint that drips around and through the words. On the right, the red briefly parts and there is some almost reverent room around a single blue drip that goes from top to bottom, and in the lower right half of the card is an eye that the drip goes through, indicating / becoming a tear. Through the eye are more collaged words, but broken and torn: "Ca n I af for d it?" Made with my late partner in mind.

your magic book doesn't entitle you to shit.
if you think that God entitles you, his special favorite boy unlike those other heathens, to something earthly (a person, a land, etc) then you must be some ratio of dumbass and asshole to equal 100%.

2 • BREAK THE CHAINS for #RedRising

3 • #Dragonair & a custom Pokemon Trainer

4 • #Onix in space ✨🚀

[ #aceo #atc #fanart #traditionalart #bskyartist ]
ATC (2.5"x3.5" Artist Trading Card) marker and ink drawing of the cat-grass pokemon Floragato. The background is a messy scribble of dark green and light green, and then the lineart on top. The exact greens of her fur are hinted at with drips of gel pen, as well as her eyes, nose, and flower. Her witch hat is colored in fully in dark purple. ATC (2.5"x3.5" Artist Trading Card) marker and ink drawing of a sickle blade cutting through chains with a dramatic yellow blast. It says "break the chains" in the lower left. Commission drawn in ink and marker and gel pen. Dragonair wrapping around and rising above her trainer, who is dressed in goth/witchy clothing and looking up at the Dragonair. ATC (2.5"x3.5" Artist Trading Card) marker and ink drawing of Onix the pokemon over a backdrop of dark swirls, colorful spots and little planets, suggesting that he is floating in space. He wears a glass bowl reminiscent of a space suit helmet.

I made the background 15~ years ago and held on to it until I found the perfect bee images.
Now I'm able to make the perfect bee images 🙏🏻

What really pisses me off about the world, and this country especially,

is that it doesn't have to be this way.
But instead, generations of lives are half-lived, from beginning to end, consumed.

Birthday gift to myself: emotional political venting, lol.

[ #universalbasicincome #politics #art ]
Universal Basic Income essentially means that all people have their basic necessities taken care of = if you need it to live, you are given the funds for it in some fashion. One is no longer FORCED to work a job on threat of death, but has the means to survive on the basis of BEING A HUMAN FKING BEING. In my view, UBI isn't an endpoint but a stepping stone on the way to converting a capitalist garbage shithole into something better. I don't have the answers but I can point in the right direction. Anyway, this is an ATC (artist trading card) and I scribbled some nice yellow, blue, purple, and pink markers to make the background and did the rest w acrylic markers & gel pen. Capitalism sucks and so does the US

[ #bskyartist #aceo #atc #artisttradingcard #eyeseeyou #surrealism #fantasyart ]
3.5"x2.5" card; a sloppy rectangle is drawn in black ink and inside is drawn an eye with a thin vertical pupil staring at the viewer. In the foreground, possibly very tiny compared to the face with the eye, are four mushrooms with grass on one end, a pumpkin with twirling vines on another, and finally a purple ocean with a dolphin jumping out on another.
