I can't emphasize this enough.

This is why I ALWAYS say, don't stan politicians. Respect their staff, push them on their positions. But don't stan them.
Aside from whatever else is going on here you're seeing what your average politician is like without any staff involvement
HALEY STEVENS: Anderson, this is a broader point about what's going on in our party

COOPER: It's actually not. It's really just a question of why you changed your mind

STEVENS I haven't cast my vote yet

COOPER: So you might change your mind again?

No gods, no masters, friends. Especially the gods that the billionaire class are building so that they might become our masters. Not those, most of all.

We do not want your AI god, silly tech bros! Begone!

Silicon Valley’s Obsession With AI Looks a Lot Like Religion
The tech world’s obsession with artificial intelligence has spawned beliefs and rituals that resemble religion — complete with digital deities, moral codes, and threats of damnation.

👨‍⚖️ TL;DR: AI doesn't need to write high-quality books for non-AI book writers to get hurt. Cheap books at massive volume are enough and they've cut what the average human-written book earns in most genres and pushed human titles down the bestseller ranks. (10/n)

I do not want to read EVER about people who worked for ICE and are now sad about it. I won't do it. if they truly feel sorry, let them atone on their own, but I'm only reading the interviews and stories about the ones deported, the people they have disappeared, the ones harmed.

Great clause.
The big 5 are pushing back on clauses against AI in marketing and publicity.
I've mentioned before I've updated my contracts to make sure everything in the production of my books is done by humans and not "AI"; if you're wondering what such a thing looks like, here's a clause covering that from a recent contract.

Tommy is not actually a registered voter in Michigan.
Tricia McLaughlin is the former DHS spokesperson who kept telling the public that everytime ICE shot someone, it was because they were weaponizing their car against the masked security agent
Since the video is self explanatory they are moving to a discussion of tone. They do this while refusing to admit that Tommy is a conservative operative, and in no way an “innocuous person at the town hall.” These are deeply and fundamentally unserious people.

Useless car, and useless trillionaires trillionaire-ing.
do think there's a danger of looking at extremely cool shit like a car driving upside down then doing a kickflip before landing, and convincing yourself it's actually lame because the guy funding it is a white supremacist

Hard agree. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s because Meta sued the author and got a gag order that prevents her from saying a single word about her own book.

Mark Zuckerberg is a threat to human rights and democracies the world over, including ours. It is vitally important you know how and why.
Never been a better time to read Careless People by former Meta senior executive Sarah Wynn-Williams, which — among many, many revelations — reveals that Facebook promoted the European far right in the mid-2010s as a gambit against post-Snowden privacy regulations.

I think the thing that radicalized me was when I was in drama as a kid and another kid fell off the stage and broke her leg, and spent the next half hour trying to convince the adults in the room not to call the ambulance because she couldnt afford it

We had an assembly run by guidance last week, and they made a video using an AI person, and the 8th grade kids started yelling “AI! AI! Boooooooo!” It was nice.
Happy to report that “That’s so AI” is the go-to insult among my 7th grade students.

Me: Well, vote for Democrats then.

Person: HOW DARE YOU, I HATE THEM, I HATE YOU, YOU BOOTLICKING SHITLIB, AAAAAAAAAAUGH (pees self in anger)
It’s also kind of fascinating how someone can believe Democrats and Republicans are the same, and also Republicans are going to kill us all, at the same time.
