Incredibly moving Justin Trudeau remarks:

"We have fought and died alongside you....During your darkest hours...we were always there. Standing with you, grieving with you, the American people....Canadians are a little perplexed as to why our closest friends and neighbors are choosing to target us."

Today we honored the life of one of my clients & it seemed fitting to spend it in the trees, & by the water, as they loved nature 💜

As the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. wisely said, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." Today and every day, I pledge to never silence my voice in the fight for what is right, and I will continue to march in the path he forged toward justice.

Dr. King spread a message of justice and persisted in the face of hatred.

His legacy calls us to serve each other and to continue striving towards a more inclusive and united Minnesota.

I took today as a rest day. One of my clients labored into his next journey. So I stayed in bed, finished this book (which was perfectly in theme) and enjoyed the sunshine & good food later. #booksky #vigil #love

🌿 Grief as a caregiver often shows up in ways we don’t expect – exhaustion, irritability, or even feeling disconnected. Sometimes, just a few deep breaths or stepping outside can help bring a little relief. 💬 DM me if you’d like support from someone who understands this journey.#Grief #Caregiver

As an actively recovering caregiver & matriarchal figure (aka “Fixer”), I’ve learned that releasing the need to control everything is an act of love—for yourself and those you care for. The best gift you can give is presence, patience, and acceptance, even when the situation feels impossible to fix.

Witnessing the strength and resilience of my clients inspires me everyday. Recently, I created these communication boards to help two of them navigate communication challenges. One has bravely faced multiple strokes, & the other is approaching the end of their life.

I’m experiencing one of those big waves of grief. I’m helping a client if mine plan for hospice for their family member. For some reason, it brought up memories & emotions when I had to do the same thing & it nearly crushed my heart. 💔 Grief can be sneaky like that 💔
