I'm a full throated Impeach the MFer, but I'm very glad he wasn't shot or harmed. First, assassination is wrong full stop. Second, anyone thinking that Trump being killed would be good for the country is not living in reality. This country is divided enough as it is. God forbid we up that 10x.

You have to be a special kind of stupid to argue that Trump is bad because he said he was lowering drug prices 600% but he only lowered them 60%. If that were true, people wouldn't care that his math is bad. But his drug cost cuts are very limited and average savings for households are minimal.

The point is to embarrass Vance (and Trump by proxy) and cost the US a ton in security costs. It might be a signal that Iran doesn't want to negotiate right now, thinking they are in a position of strength. But it's hard to say, because they are legitimately broke and need sanctions relief.
I know the Iranians don’t have a lot of good options to choose from and some of this is probably posturing. But I personally wouldn’t trust the word of JD “I believe Donald Trump is Hitler lol/jk” Vance.

Abolishing ICE is a great goal, but Democrats need to start this week by returning ICE's budgets to 2024 levels, negating the 9x increase from the BBB.
But they should offer a bipartisan compromise by reducing the 2024 budget 10% to account for Trump's marvelous job at lowering prices. 😂
