I have a serious case of Lumbago
It friggin hurts so much so that I had to visit A&E over the weekend
Asked the Doc if I had to rest from cycling. No he said. But don't push it. Words I wanted to hear.
It's been three weeks. I'm now on the mend with meds, heat & massage

This weekend's cycling shenanigans. Visiting all the Pubs in Kent, The Garden of England, called the White Horse. 11 in total. A hot, sunny ride with plenty of rolling hills.
122 miles for the day.

A 2 day mini tour of Kent visiting 11 of the 12 pubs on the county named Red Lion.
180 miles over all in very warm temperatures.
Gravesend, Sittingbourne, Milstead, Hernhill, Stodmarsh, Bridge, Hythe, Snargate, Baddlesmere, Charing and Lenham. Only missing Tunbridge Wells.

Beyond epic is how I would describe The Odyssey. Watched in super iMax, it takes your breath away, both cinematic & audio. The camera work is immense, the soundtrack goes right through you. Everything about this movie, the story, the actors, & the acting is top notch
It deserves all the hype.

For most of 2026 the love of my life Rachel has been battling breast cancer. It's been a long and hard struggle. Yesterday she was told that there's 'no evidence of disease'. She is cancer free. It's a very good day. Cheers and good health to you all. #fuckcancer

I snuck out of the door nice and early this morning for a jolly ride to the Isle of Grain on the Hoo Peninsular.

Phew that was a warm commute home this afternoon. No point pushing for any sort of pb's in that heat. So a fairly enjoyable 28 mile ride from Greenwich to Rochester, via Woolwich Arsenal.

What a fabulous film. My favourite of the year so far. So very well made. Striking, dark, dread, confusion, claustrophobic & disturbing. It makes you feel completely disorientated when watching. The 2 leads are brilliant
