What a way to put this. I would have never thought of this on my own.

Can they do this in your car?

There is absolutely no way to prepare someone whose about to have a baby the moment they arrive, your life is permanently changed. We can assume we know, I think that misleads our perception of what’s to come.

Why is it so hard for city staff to answer a yes no question about city policy?

Something as mundane as “is there a policy to makeup missed street sweeping days due to a holiday?”

They answer with an unrelated policy like I’m suppose to just go away.

Hey, I recognize that place! Honestly, unsure if we ever went to it.

There’s a McDonald’s caddy corner to it and I remember watching the “__ billions served” sign tick upwards over time. Don’t think I paid attention to others with it. Closest McDonald’s was probably 30 minutes from my hometown.
A very successful, very well respected friend of mine, he calls me Sir, sent me this image from Peoria requesting the lore behind it.

Reminded me that Evanston’s police department couldn’t muster a bike cop to ride along Oakton’s bike bus, sending a motorcycle cop instead. 🤦🏻‍♂️🫣🤯

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Peterson with one felony count of leaving the scene of a crash causing injury or death. Police also issued him two traffic citations, one for violating pedestrian right-of-way at crosswalks and one for violating general speed restrictions.

Wow.

Gee, how fast does one have to go to flip and cause this kind of damage?
And a particularly gnarly photo from my colleague Jack Baker, because in the last little bit investigators with EPD flipped the car back onto its wheels:

Why may I use + and - to zoom in and out within Apple Maps but sometimes I can't?

Today was Oakton's first bike bus that I am aware of and I have a few thoughts. One, EPD provided an escort.....on a motorcycle. Two, there were dozens of kids which was great. Three, why are we interviewing elected officials when they're the reason we're having bike buses? Make our streets safer...

@alexhairysun.bsky.social do you know which RT reporter joined Oakton’s bike bus this morning?

THIS IS NOT A FREAK OUT POST

I have a couple thousand miles on a Family, we adjust the seat regularly, but most of all CPSC says only 1,032 of these were sold in the US? Were half of those sold in Chicagoland alone?!
#Recall: Gazelle USA Recalls Urban Arrow Cargo Electric Bikes; The front bolt in the seat post clamping mechanism can break, causing the seat to become loose, posing a fall hazard. Get repair. www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2027...
