It is very okay to pursue aspects of transition because you want them even if you don't think you "need" them. We got trapped into talking almost exclusively about "need" by transphobes who made us fight for medical care and other forms of transition.

lately ive noticed politics take a sharp turn into using hope *as* whats being sold on its own, and its not how hope works, like people are meant to be given hope by actually being helped and having their lives changed, but we're being sold "the idea that things may get better" by politicians
