And we close this week's #webcomic update on a very slimy evening in Shadowmurk.

Back in the underground, a strange eyeless monster is scaling the exterior wall of Shadowmurk's castle with a clattering, clicking shriek - it's showing signs of having already been damaged in battle, deep green sludge emerging from the slashes upon it. Liege makes a leaping slash at the creature, decapitating it with one of the larger swords from his armory with a clean slash. Liege is also battle damaged, the jacket from his date in tatters and one sleeve torn off. The slain beast's neck erupts in a geyser of goopy green sludge as it slumps onto the wall. Liege is caught in the spray, wincing to one side. Liege is rejoined by Alkamilla as he tries to wipe some of the sludge off of himself; they both look varyingly scuffed or smeared from the carnage of a fight. Liege looks tired, but relieved, as Alkamilla is mildly irritated, re-examining how grimy and injured their current state is. LIEGE: That was the last. ALKAMILLA: Every time it storms... Ominous appears apologetically along the walkway, as Liege and Alkamilla approach through a line of soldiers, who bow in appreciation in their ranks. Liege looks to be simultaneously surprised and disappointed, while Alkamilla looks exhausted. OMINOUS: My lord, water rationing has been implemented until the flood recedes.

I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.🤷🏽‍♀️

once I finish ep 10 of Stardust Rhapsody Anthem, I am going to take a break and get into Waltz For Eternity.

I am 2 hours into wearing Real Shoes today, and doing pretty good - I have to be on tip toe but I can kinda run-hustle in them, too! I just am glad to be doing this well, overall.

I know I'm still on heavy painkillers, but I actually managed to jog a little bit as a test. Not WELL, but it was something.

I think if I got the right shoes my PT recommended I may be almost okay...

The horde of murk worms is shuffled as Harbinger rears up and forces his way to the forefront of them. Liege seems overwhelmed with joy and relief upon seeing him, as Ominous looks on. LIEGE: THERE you are! OMINOUS: Would you prefer we evict the rest of these impertinent invertebrates, sire? Liege closes his eyes, hoisting Harbinger up over his shoulders in a very right hug. Ominous eyes Liege carefully, as one of the smaller murk worm invaders bites at his shawl. LIEGE: No. OMINOUS: We don't have the infrastructure to keep ALL of them. LIEGE: Nyeh -- FINE. Seal off the sub-basements. In Libraria, Crimsonheart is dropping off Index, the storm still raging on. An angry crowed of cloaked mages and Glossary look on from the doorway. INDEX: You're sure you'll make it home in all this? CRIMSONHEART: I need to keep the castle safe! i know the instinct is to use shame to get people to participate, but i find that being earnest, vulnerable, and patient with close friends/family can often yield better results. talk to those in your life, mention it whenever possible, be polite but direct!
