The Black vote is the dark matter of liberal politics, in that seemingly nobody can perceive it until we exert our force.
I am Clayton County, Georgia and have been talking to older Black voters outside a polling place and ahead of this Obama rally and can confirm: older Black voters to a tee are FURIOUS about the Supreme Court killing the Voting Rights Act. This is the home of John Lewis and MLK.
One thing I've been noodling on is why is the Dem wave seemingly way bigger in the south than the upper midwest and the answer I keep coming back to is that Black voters are fucking pissed about redistricting and the end of the VRA.
