The sindo forced to publish a decision about being found to be transphobic towards trans women by... referring to us as transgender men. Jesus fucking Christ!
This is written to fly under the radar, from today’s Sunday Independent (Ireland).
The press council upheld a complaint about an offensive and transphobic opinion column by Brenda Power. Sindo was required to publish the decision.

Graham Linehan is calling the people who murdered a trans man in cold blood, heroes.

So I get on the L train at 14th at 2am after a very nice party in Manhattan. Train is clean, bright, plenty of people but still plenty of space. There's a young woman stretched out fast asleep on one of the rows of seats. I think hey, good for her, and sit down nearby.

The death penalty is a stain on all countries that use it. Absolutely barbaric.
A woman in Tennessee was taken to hospital after a failed attempt to carry out her execution, her lawyers said, with witnesses reporting the convicted murderer was breathing despite the injections intended to kill her.

Wendy Carlos should be on the 20 dollar bill. There should be a 50-foot-tall, solid-gold statue of her in Pawtucket. You should be able to buy all her albums in any format you want and a line of custom branded synths. She should be a household name along with Bob Moog.

Feminism doesn't require women to see trans+ people as the enemy.

For many of us, feminism has always meant challenging inequality, standing alongside people whose rights are under threat, and refusing to accept that one group's equality must come at another's expense.

That's our feminism too.

Almost 65,000 children in Gaza have been killed or injured by Israel since October 2023. Children also face forced famine, displacement, and denial of humanitarian aid. You don't get to annihilate a generation and then play a game of football, as if it never happened, as if it isn't still happening.

I know the FAI (and Govt) have left the players hanging. But if the players have their meeting tomorrow and, even after this, decide to play the fixture, they can all get fucked. There is NO excuse.
The story of Natalie Abudayyeh (21) a journalism student and member of the Palestine Women's Football Team.

She played in Dublin against @bfcdublin.bsky.social in 2024.

Today, she's in an Israeli jail. Her family and teammates say she was taken at gunpoint from university without charge.

Anyone who has been following the build-up of establishment transphobia over the last 15 years or so will know that it is in part a wedge to homophobia, misogyny, ableism, racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia xenophobia etc.

Transphobes are never just bigoted against trans people.
