So one of the really fun things about dating my partner is that he doesn’t take my hesitance to do something as unwillingness, but as willingness in need of support. Which is how I went on a poker run on Saturday, on my own bike, and finished the ride without needing rescuing.

I got brake checked by my car in traffic this morning because someone on the exit ramp, fully out of my lane, slowed down (as they should).
Fuck modern "safety" features. I've been put into a full skid on ice because the car decided brakes were appropriate.

Doing something new, somewhere I’ve never been. Naturally my brain is just yelling “NERVOUS” at me on repeat. I have no backup because my friends are busy and I promised someone else I would show up, but I don’t know this person enough for them to be default safe.

I think a lot of people underestimate how forgiving Kickstarter backers can be, as long as you keep them in the loop.

My pedo cousin got murdered and there are people in my family who won't speak to me because I refused to suppress my joy and relief even a little. And if I'll celebrate reprehensible family members dying, you bet your ass that I'll celebrate when a reprehensible colleague dies, even if I lose my job

You can only do so much against a system designed to harm certain people. Medical misogyny sucks and is much worse for Black women and it’s never the patient’s fault.
Frequently, I’d even say it’s mostly not the doctor’s fault because medical school still teaches the gaps. It’s a designed harm.

I’ve had exactly this conversation, out loud with my mother. Being disabled, queer, and child free made for some soul crushing, mother centering, conversations.

Pride month as a trans man is going to a public flag raising ceremony and almost getting sat on by the local state representative who proceeds to just not care. (Twice because I refused to find a different seat after the first time.)
