The 20th Avenue NE bridge over Ravenna Park opened in 1913, but in 1975 the City of Seattle decided to convert it to pedestrian and bike only rather than spend money on a costly retrofit that would allow it to keep carrying cars.

Potential issue is that the statute has mens rea elements.
I think there is a simple solution to mens rea issues as applied to AI. Anything that the AI does should be deemed to meet any level of knowledge, and that should then be imputed to whoever prompted the AI.

I think the political left should be the loudest voice calling for an AI model development pause, frontier pacing, and mandatory third party audits right now. Put aside the doomer stuff (though I think it’s plausible), we just found out that OpenAI’s agents committed a pretty major felony!

also Wikipedia didn't just happen and people adapted. it was sloppy in the 2001-2002 period and then a group of editors (including people who had been there right from day one also including myself) worked out principles for making the project work with a lot of hard graft over the next few years.
This is so funny. When I was at uni, lecturers never said Wikipedia was "slop", they simply cautioned students to check its citations. Which you can't do with LLMs because they just make things up and are *designed* to stop you thinking critically about what you're reading
