.... I just came across an episode in Season 3 where Lorelai dates Young John Hamm???

I have watched this show like ten times and I have no memory of this

Young John Hamm looks like a cookie before you put it in the oven. It's unsettling :|

We've had the ability to watch, say, Counterstrike marathons, Street Fighter tournaments, or chess matches between computers since the 90s. Spectacles which, by their very definition, would be at a "higher standard" than human play. And nobody wants it. It's entirely meaningless. It has no appeal.

bad-twin.bandcamp.com - my EP is out. It has my most complex, I think complete, work on it. 15 years of churning out this crap and i feel like I’m finally hitting paydirt

New EP dropped today, it’s a vibe ❤️ you should check it out!
bad-twin.bandcamp.com - less than a week till I launch my EP, the future of ____ is ugly (bad twin). I’m so excited about this one even if I still don’t really know what I’m doing more than 15 years in. Pre-ordering would be a great way to support!

Oh yeah, "both sides" of the argument, when one "side" in this case intentionally works to spread intimation and fear, and the other seeks safety in their own neighbourhood. Where they live. Sectarianism is a wild one.

I can only second this. If you are in Glasgow, visit Category Is. It's much more than a bookshop. It's a community hub, a place of active resistance, and a big fucking hug.
Appalling that in 2026 our local queer spaces are getting their windows panned in. However I was so glad to be able to contribute to the massive outpouring of support from the community to help the shop fundraise for shutters. I love Category Is and recommend that you visit if you're in Glasgow

...I updated the OS and now Apple has decided to shove its slopbot into individual app settings instead of providing an all-purpose off switch.

Attempting to hide how much slop they're inflicting on customers--and forcing people to go looking to opt out--is not good business practice.

i guess i "didn't love it enough" to quit my 9-5, to lose my health insurance, to work in perpetual crunch, for a publisher that wasn't doing anything on their end to market or sell the book. passion exploitation works because YOU think you're not good enough. i'm telling you: you are.

I have a month until I can get the money together for editing costs

Which is great, because it gives me a month to work out exactly how to draft the email where I apologise for all the weird formatting and the plot-relevant use of Wingdings

Come to the launch of the anthology I'm an editor on! It's been a real labour of love from everyone involved to put together over 40 stories from members new and old of our local writers' group.
#Glasgow Haverin is nearly here! 'Mon and celebrate 40 years of the GSFWC with our book launch on 21st October at Waterstones Sauchiehall Street. Grab yourself new stories by Christopher Caldwell, E.M. Faulds, Neil Williamson, Eliza Chan -- and maybe some homemade tablet too!

It is wild that I live on a main road and can walk in four different directions to end up in wildly different green spaces within 15 minutes, do so multiple times a week, and I still feel like I'm not touching enough grass

Like I don't understand how people in Car Cities manage
