In NYC, Mayor Mamdani has launched the Office of Worker Power, designed to connect workers who want to unionize with education and resources.
Former US Labor Sec Julie Su is overseeing the effort & the executive director comes from the UAW.

Apple has closed down the first of its US stores to unionize.

Over half of the 70 unionized workers at the Towson, MD store are losing their jobs.

The union says Apple is retaliating after it only offered transfers to workers at the two nonunion stores it also closed.

A new report from the University of California shows that the state's decision to raise the minimum wage for fast food workers to $20/hr didn’t hurt jobs, or raise prices much.

Data from over 2,000 restaurants shows that the $20/hr minimum wage didn’t reduce employment.
