We started receiving their signals a few decades ago, though took a while to decipher them. Their distance from us meant we were listening to stories millions of years old. Their technology was developing at an astonishing rate. Then the signals went dead.

Lovely. Found a Jersey Tiger basking (do they bask?) on the car windscreen this morning, but it flew off before I could take a pic. They’re so beautiful in flight. (Not that the LBJs aren’t beautiful too!)
