These four are a textbook lesson in candidate quality mattering a lot. Dems have this on their side in all 4, while the Republicans are all wretchedly bad candidates. Graham and Marshall, in particular, are really bad. That's why I think all four have a decent shot, FL assisted by the governor race.
Crazy thought, BTW: let’s say Dems flip not just 6 consensus opportunities, but also the other main possibilities: FL (closer in 2024 than TX/IA/AK), KS, SC, & MS. That would be 57

There’s no Dem on the ballot in ID, SD, or NE. If they all won all 3 those independents would be votes 58, 59, & 60*

You can't appease a bully. They always come back to inflict further abuse. You know what does work with a bully? A swift hard kick in the balls.
And I don't give a single fuck. That's where bowing, scraping & carrying water for a dictator gets you eventually, discarded. Should have found your spines a decade ago, but access & approval from republicans is all you cared about then & now.
The President says he is going to ban CNN, MSNOW and Politico from the White House.

He’s trampling on our Constitution and the freedom of the press.

His corruption is staggering–and his attempts to cover it up won’t work.

I think we've been seeing some of this here. It's important as we head into the last 6 weeks before the midterms to be wary of what's out there, especially things designed to suppress our vote or boost Republican candidates. The Russians are not on the side of Democrats or democracy.
Heads up: The Russian government has been targeting Americans with covert online disinformation operations seeking to undermine public confidence the midterms — using a familiar playbook in an attempt to inject chaos into the voting season, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

The Kremlin is once again seeking to undermine confidence in American democracy with online influence campaigns, U.S. officials said.

This really isn't correct. That's the visage they put forth in front of the world, but former Nazis occupied positions of power in both East and West Germany well into the 1980s. Germany as a whole did change, but it took decades and the passing of the Nazi era generations for that to occur.
Germany split into two separate countries, and aggressively prosecuted the Nazis and implemented laws and reforms to purge the Nazis from everyday life.

Unless we do the same, we won't regain the trust in a decade.

These clinical trials are often a last resort for cancer patients. Crushing their hope is cruelty beyond belief and a terrible blow to cancer researchers as they develop new treatments. Every advance in cancer treatment depends on clinical trials.
Your life saving clinical trail could be TERMINATED by the Trump administration.
We scraped through the data and found that 50% of all clinical trials are at risk of being cancelled. It's time to talk about it and what you can do to stop this. 🧵 🧪

Real DARVO shit...
“This Black guy doing identity politics with wokeness is responsible for white supremacy,” is a neat summation of a view that has far more purchase than people are willing to admit.

I'm just so angry at these smug morally bereft losers that happily endorsed this crass, tacky tractor pull of a presidency thinking it was some sort of cultural mandate. Rogan is absolutely on the hook for platforming this administration at multiple points.
I almost spat out my soda laughing at this. Like rats deserting the sinking MAGA ship.

I recognize the abuser’s language Trump & Vance just used..

Not sure this is confined to Texas...
The Texas Republican Party is made up of authoritarians, racists, misogynists, perverts, and criminals. It’s powered by right-wing Christians, MAHA influencers, and fascist-curious tech bros.

If you want to see what the GOP after Trump looks like, it’s Texas. www.liberalcurrents.com/the-future-o...

👀 District is the far exurbs of NW Atlanta...
I’ve never heard of this firm, so no idea if they’re at all trustworthy. But FWIW that district went Trump +23.

I don't care about the means. Just the end.
Trump: "If I'm in an electric boat and I see I'm going down and the water is pouring in, so I know I'm going to be electrocuted, but 5 yards away there are sharks. Do I take the electrocution or do I go swimming with the sharks? I'll take the electrocution."

Is this the Re-redemption Era?
I’ve yet to get anyone making a reference to the Redemption Era of the US, a few Taliban references though.
The Texas Taliban is cutting programs that do not reflect their racist ideology.

Yeah, but we had a generation worth of very low inflation. People aren't used to it and that affects perception.
This is insane. Inflation is under 4%. We’ve genuinely created a monster here: a public that hallucinates intolerable inflation no matter what the actual figures are. It is a bullet to the head of the entire progressive project *and progressives can’t even be made to care.*
Enten: "Trump is breaking records. Yesterday the Marquette Law School poll came out -- Trump's worst net approval rating on inflation. Minus 61! That's the worst Trump has ever polled on inflation, & not only that, it's the worst any president EVER has polled on inflation. Worse than Jimmy Carter!"

This is terrible. I've known @repmarcykaptur.bsky.social a long time, since she was first elected in 1982. So, this is very disappointing. But, that said, she's better than the Republican alternative. Her district was redrawn to be substantially more Republican. I understand the politics of this.
Holy shit.

Marcy Kaptur becomes the latest Dem to release an anti-trans ad, and its worse than all the rest combined.

"I voted WITH Republicans to keep transgender ideology out of schools, and let me be clear, boys should NOT play in girls sports."

This is getting out of control.

And if high gas prices continue, even those districts will be in jeopardy. There is a very real possibility that what we're seeing is the bottom falling out for Republicans, a historic loss of massive proportions.
Crucial point. Very possible that what I'm reporting here is the beginning of Rs starting to write off the Trump +3, +4, +5 districts and now starting to put money into the Trump +8, +9, +10, +12 districts to save those:
This tells me they’ve already written off districts with a five point margin or less… and are now trying to protect those in the 5-15 point range… out of desperation… their internal numbers are telling them that these races are all toss ups.
September 17, 2026 at 6:30 PM
Untrue. There is plenty of foul flatulence coming out of Republicans these days...
Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., says he wants an AI law that balances innovation with safety — but he's not holding his breath.

“Right now, Congress can't pass gas.”

This is a pretty good indication that the Trump Train is in the midst of a nasty and very messy derailment. It couldn't be happening to a more deserving collection of losers, sycophants, assholes, criminals, pedos and domestic abusers. Der Untergang kommt.

Any coalition for some kind of progress in this country gets nowhere without Black and Jewish voters because of the reactionary voting patterns of white voters. The "left" for some reason does not understand this and as a result are an impediment to actual progress.
You may see us as uneducated but, make no mistake. We hold the keys to your candidates political future. Keep presenting your anti Blackness and Antisemitism to us and see how far it gets you. Our resilience says we’ll land on our feet regardless. We’ve had centuries of oppression to harden us.

The enshittification started with Bush v. Gore in 2000 and the utterly catastrophic Bush 43 presidency, which gave us two failed wars, an acceleration of the accumulation of great wealth, two horrible SCOTUS nominations, a botched Katrina response and an end of term economic calamity.
America enshittified itself in one decade. That's all it took.

I learn so much from Eddie's account. There is so much American history we are not taught. What we are taught is usually whitewashed and sanitized. Which is why these stories are so important.
