Had to walk out of The Last Blossom because of a 7-second subtitle gap in the film screener.

Was so excited to see and support this film by the ODDTAXI team.

What are we doing here @gkids.com

This was so frustrating and kinda embarrassing having brought a whole meetup group to see it!

Overjoyed to see Phoenix finally get the kind of release it deserves in English - previously it was kind of forgotten by Viz and a lot of famous American cartoonists think Buddha is Teuzka's life's work because of this: www.reddit.com/r/graphicnov...
From the graphicnovels community on Reddit: Phoenix by Osamu Tezuka is being reprinted in Deluxe Editions by Kodansha.

104 democrats voted to criminalize LGBTQ speech online.
The KIDS Act [containing KOSA] has passed the House

This sucks, but its not the end. It still has to pass through the Senate committee and then be voted on by the Senate itself

Please continue contactimg your Senators and demanding they oppose the KIDS Act & KOSA

Yes, everyone hates fees. What do you plan to do with all these open fascists and the infrastructure they've created around themselves when you get power back. Is anyone planning to reckon with the reality that the Before times led directly to the Now times.

found a whole operation of unmanned youtube channels making completely unchecked long form slop videos where the ai voice simulacra regularly trips up & does this for a full ten minutes every time.

all the very legit comments are like "NO! THATS NOT TRUE! YOU LIE HE DID NOT" & never acknowledge it.

It cannot be overstated how much influence Suzuki has had on modern horror. Without his books being adapted, the modern crop of horror movies looks VERY DIFFERENT. Without RINGU, there is no SINISTER or INSIDIOUS or IT FOLLOWS. The J-Horror aesthetic which evolved from his books redefined horror.
Koji Suzuki, the world-renowned novelist best-known for Ring, "Floating Water" (Dark Water), Spiral, and more horror stories, has died at age 68:

Before the rainbow shot, I got this one...luckily also with a train. Thought this would be my shot of the evening...couldn't be more wrong. This bolt dropped onto St. Regis as a wall of water approached from the west (left side of the frame).

Too many americans still don't understand the long term impact of this administration.

Everything isn't just gonna "go back to normal" if dems win the next presidential election

The entire world isnt only judging this administration, they're judging the entire political system for not stopping it

But wait it gets even worse! It also offers tax incentives that would be a public subsidy for yet another new White Sox stadium & another for a luxury apartment mega development.
And who knows how many other giant for profit projects would get public subsidies disguised as “incentives” under PILOT

Pathetic that JB caved & wants to drain tax revenues for sports owned by a super-rich family

As the S-T points out this gives "tax breaks to a franchise valued at nearly $9 billion while homeowners statewide struggle to keep up with their property tax bills."

We have asked Republicans for 10 years to ban partisan gerrymandering. And for 10 years, Republicans have said no.

What they’re just mad at is that they have been accustomed to a Democratic Party that rolls over.

The Illinois State House just passed HB 5511, a bill that will require EVERY WEBSITE and EVERY APP to implement an age verification check.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov has pushed this hard and it’s Meta’s preferred solution to avoid liability.

If you live in Illinois, you should call your state senator in opposition to the proposed age verification law.

This is a rare miss by JB Pritzker. Try to kill it dead in the senate.
