Just off the top of my dome, how about a misfit group of Muppets struggle each week to pull of a vaudeville-style variety show filled with skits, musical numbers, and hijinks?

Samus Aran, inasmuch as she has any characterization at all, seems surprisingly well-adjusted for a person whose entire life has been defined by violently invasive symbiotic and/or parasitic relationships with cosmic horrors.

I think a remake is the perfect choice for Nintendo to deliver this kind of safe, high-fidelity, photorealistic experience.
Hopefully this will placate the type of fan who’ve always clamored for this approach and they can continue to be more visually inventive with new games.

There is a particular quality to most overt conservative art that isn’t just hyper-realistic, but soulless. There’s a pursuit of technical mastery at the expense of any exploration which produces art that is both cheesy and dead-eyed.
Realism still requires curiosity to make anything meaningful.
