A 10K contribution and a $900 million return. The scale of the graft in Homeland Security is a) off the charts and b) possible because no-one believes they will face any accountability
In her last hours as DHS Secy, Noem's agency bought 5 planes from a donor at markups. In all, DHS gave $900M in contracts to that donor’s companies during her term. One plane had electronic bidets, 2 bedrooms, bar, wine chiller, a manta-ray skin table.

The major platforms—Facebook, YouTube, and X—are all refusing to show the trailer for the upcoming documentary that eviscerates the ridiculous pest Elon Musk. So I guess we have to do our part to make sure it is seen.

I've banged this drum a lot, so I'll do it again:

Consider Dan's point a reminder to ask your Democratic elected to get off X. Do it this weekend. Call them/leave a voicemail.

Something I heard more than once on the Hill, was the fact that Dem offices wished platforms like Bluesky would die,
You'd think that the Democratic party would be making hay over their opposition's biggest donor fighting to let his bot keep making revenge porn.

AI is an employee who never says no, never talks back, and who has no emotions, so you're free to be an asshole to it without consequence. Certain men have been fantasizing about this for their whole lives. They will happily burn the world down to create it.
This is all about their inability to handle dealing with other people and their emotions. I once worked for a CEO who spent all weekend writing code to monitor an employee to avoid talking to them about a concern. AI is by and for people like this.
Percolating a Take about how emotional immaturity (men who don't think emotions are real) leads to them embracing AI and AI-created works (no person, so no emotions) and so basically adult men with low emotional intelligence led to the AI mess we're in now.

This is a better epilogue to my January story about the private equity firm profiting off of ICE's cruelest flights than I could have ever possibly hoped for.

It is the ONLY toss-up seat in this area...and it needs help.

EVERY district it borders in NY, CT and NJ is Safe 🔵.

So I'm asking...

If you (or anyone you know) lives in-or-near this area (or even NYC) PLEASE come out to volunteer for Cait Conley.

They're holding up a major escalation in Iran and a crackdown on abortion until after the midterms to limit political damage.

To the extent that the last two years have been a right-wing smash-and-grab operation, the next two will be worse.
SCOOP: White House officials, led by Susie Wiles, have told DOJ to delay any abortion-related action until after the midterms

Wiles suggested to Todd Blanche that an aggressive approach on abortion would be negative for the GOP in November

I recommend people read this to get a sense of the president's grave cognitive impairment. Trump is either unwilling or unable (or maybe both) to answer the questions he's actually asked, so he just rants and raves while the interviewers do their best to provide structure to his random brain firings
