CBC’s The House interviewed Dr. Mona Nemer Canada’s Chief Science officer and pretty much the only government of Canada official to speak plainly about COVID. In this interview she calls for a national inquiry albeit in not such direct language. I agree with her! Long long over due!

Nova Scotians still haven't been warned about the long-term harms caused by Covid infections. There hasn't been any public health education or transparancy about inddor air quality in buildings. The only way to avoid Long Covid is to avoid infections!
"Long COVID is common, affecting up to 10% to 20% of children with a history of COVID-19. With almost 6 million US children potentially affected, this is higher than the number of children with asthma, the most common chronic health problem in children."
Long COVID in Young Children, School-Aged Children, and Teens

Last year, the CBC published an article to commemorate the 5th Covid anniversary in Nova Scotia. In 2025, there were another 109 deaths from Covid. The province continues to ignore the harms from infection, and refuses to educate the public about Long Covid. #LongCovidAwarenessDay
"Since the beginning of the pandemic, roughly 1,250 Nova Scotians have died from COVID-19. 'COVID's here,' said Strang. 'It's staying.'"

But nothing's being done to reduce infections. We have no public communication, no clean indoor air, and we've lost public access to tests.
It's interesting that lack of action and communication on long covid is not one of the things he says he regrets.
