It was our first emergency vehicle at a DJ Ride.
Turns out we’re pretty good at managing that…

On last night’s @nacto.bsky.social DJ ride with @joyfulridersclub.bsky.social a fire truck came up behind our group of 100+.
We got out of the way SO quickly.
The mode & infra that slows emergency response *isn’t* bikes or protected bikeways - it’s too many drivers & car dependent infra.

For a bit of joy, I finally started ordering parts and building out this bike I've had for the last two years. Spent a chunk of time talking to Karl at @perennialcycle.bsky.social, ordered parts, and got on the calendar for the first round.

Pioneer Press is looking for a cargo bike family in St. Paul that’s interested in letting them take some pics/ videos of the fam doing cargo bike stuff. The writer reaching out recently had an Urban Arrow demo, but I don’t think he’s picky about what bike the fam is using. Let me know if interested.
