Such a treat to see @depthsofwikipedia.bsky.social live at the #Edinburgh Fringe! I was sure the room would be full of nerdy editors like me but actually there were only a handful of us, and the rest were just very enthusiastic #Wikipedia readers who've discovered the joys of rabbit holes!

Today is the 180th anniversary of Elsie Inglis's birth. She obtained the Triple Qualification in medicine in 1892, founded a maternity hospital in Edinburgh, spoke at suffrage events organized by Milicent Fawcett, and during WWI created the Scottish Women's Hospitals.

This is an ongoing reminder that several feminist organisations oppose the UK’s attempt to segregate trans people in public life and challenge “gender critical” politics because it is antithetical to women’s rights.
Pubic Service Announcement

The Vagina Museum is trans inclusive. Always has been, always will be.

Today the new EHRC Code of Practice comes into effect. Let us be clear, the guidance changes nothing about how we operate.

If the Suffragettes were active today, there is not a shadow of a doubt that Keir Starmer's government would have banned them as a terrorist group, and insisted there are plenty of other ways in which women can register their dissent. Why don't they write letters to their MPs?
