‘Honest Bob’ Jenrick says he wants to “abolish” Natural England, and at the very least stop funding it, in the first 100 days of a putative Reform government.

Reform may appear to be on the rocks currently but their plans are terrifying, mad & must be stopped.

Just watched a pipestrelle roost in Wales go out to hunt, easily 100 individuals...but if that wasn't exciting enough up popped a tawny owl doing its best to catch dinner. Amazing experience.

Male blackcap on the Somerset Levels yesterday. Billions of mozzies, along with warblers, esp garden, sedge and reed, cuckoos, bitterns, egrets, marsh harriers, bitterns calling, swifts. Dragonflies and damsels downed by the torrential rain.

Very late #wildflowerhour hedgerows. Yellow archangel, ramsoms, bluebell and wood melick in Bath. Orange tip on cuckoo flower, where more grassy, making an appearance. Good year for butterflies so far.
