The pandemic should have led to clean indoor air, treatments for long covid and related illnesses, next gen vaccines, normalization of masking, mandatory respiratory protection in healthcare, sick leave, and a paradigm shift around what infections do to people

IMO the underlying issue here is the labor practices these students are being fed into as they near adulthood. Learning is not about volume of output, but do these students understand that?

the nytimes piece does not state that mamdani pays influencers, but was written misleadingly so that people will draw that conclusion. david knows this also, by the way, he is helping to spread the lie
Because of Mamdani’s paying influencers to promote him, I now assume by default that everyone in NYC who’s been praising him online like they’re in a cult or something has been getting paid to do that. That’s not good for Mamdani & it’s not good for trust in government.

By almost any measure Dolly embodied "the American Dream." Some people will come from nothing and make it big and consider the problem now solved. Others will remember that there are still others with nothing and use what they have to help.
