A wee group of angry balaclava and mask-wearing anti-immigration guys tried to stop the good people of Glasgow showing solidarity with migrants and standing up to racism and fascism. Well, the far right are far outnumbered...

This outcome was created in the moment that Gordon Brown got caught saying someone had bigoted views, the media went nuts, and Labour didn’t have the courage to stand by that position.

Going after Parkrun – a non-competitive event which has no changing rooms – perfectly illustrates that it's never been about fairness in sport, women's safety or anything else. It's about bullying and demonising trans people, hounding them out of public life in every space possible. It's disgusting.
Do you know how much of a devil you have to be to threaten Parkrun, one of the most socially progressive, inclusive, beneficial and fucking good vibes organisations we have, with legal action? Demonic! Utterly satanic.

Anti-rights movements won't stop with trans people.

The Alliance Defending Freedom campaign against abortion rights, gay marriage, and anti-discrimination laws.

Now they are openly backing a case against Parkrun for including trans participants.

My workshops for self-funders on Specification By Example in May are filling up nicely, but so far entirely with devs.

Product managers, testers, UX designers and other non-programming software folks are very welcome. I'm hoping for cross-discipline groups.

I even made a spiffy ad and everything.

A researcher says she made up a disease with two posts on Medium, which led to Copilot telling users it was "intriguing and relatively rare." Posting two preprint papers about it online led to ChatGPT diagnosing people with it. 🧪

This has got to be some kind of defamation or something. You can’t just steal people’s IP and then pretend they’re saying something they never said.

This woman, US citizen living in Skokie, was detained at Ohare yesterday, taken to Broadview, then transferred to a detention facility in Wisconsin, now released. We know all this not because of DHS, who repeatedly denied that they even had her, but because her phone was pinging in those locations.

Today's ruling on the EHRC's interim guidance is a disappointing, confusing and mixed picture.

A trans woman who is a customer in a café can use the women's toilets, but if she works there she might not be able to.

Once again everyday life is being made a legal labyrinth for trans people.

Online leftists miss the point when they treat trans, women’s, BIPOC, and disabled struggles as secondary to the “workers’ revolution.” Dismantling racial supremacy and patriarchy is the revolution. If you overthrow capitalism without uprooting those foundations, it just comes back with a new names.

In a functional country, this would be a scandal. A service suffering only from chronic underfunding was ripped apart because the media created a myth of 1000s of complaints of malpractice. The truth - as in my family’s experience - was very different.

Why was Jeffrey Epstein obsessed with genes?

@juliametraux.bsky.social said it best: "Evil men like Epstein are, in the simplest form, obsessed with eugenics because they believe that their ill-gotten gains are the product of some innate superiority."
Epstein couldn't stop emailing people about eugenics
In the latest files, the trafficker gives it a Silicon Valley–pilled name: "genetic altruism."
