Infrastructure is obviously really important, but a culture of biking has a huge impact on getting people out on two wheels. People can see what's possible and learn from the biking community. It's an important way to change norms as well by showing people a car isn't always necessary or best.

Great day for me and #BikeDC! Rode downtown to show off @hillfamilybiking.org new SUV at the National Bike Summit… more to come! Which caught the eyes of @thewaroncars.bsky.social and chatted (um cool!). Then after work the family road the under attack 15th st lanes to the tidal basin for a picnic.

We’ve heard now from several reliable sources that federal agencies may remove a substantial chunk of the 15th St NW protected bike lanes near the National Mall in February, possibly as early as next week.
