- Broken Pieces -

Memories of yesterday,
In my mind
A place of empty promises.

All that is remembered,
All that is seen,

Is an image of
Broken pieces.
-
An old traditional piece I had drawn inspired by childhood & growing up in a broken home.

#SaniArts #memories #childhood
A young girl wearing a white shirt and purple shorts clutching herself while staring down at a broken vase of blue and white. Her face is hidden in shadow, the shattered pieces resembling something broken in the little girl and her life. Dark shadows of brown and yellow beat down on her as if to swallow her up.

About a month later since my injury, I’m starting to get back in to working out this painting. My body is feeling better, thankfully, though I can only work on art for short amounts of time before I need to stop & rest.

But I’ve found a sky palette I like :)

#NiGHTSintoDreams #SaniArts
Work in progress of my NiGHTS into Dreams painting. The screenshot shows a night starry sky with dreamy clouds and a luminous moon. The corner of NiGHTS’ jester hat can been seen in the lower left corner.

Tiny, colorful baby scallops — a total cuteness overload in one dish!

You might think, “This person posts the same creature every year!” But honestly, seeing the same life return year after year is something truly wonderful𓂃🫧‪

This hurts. This hurts a lot.

Rest in Power, Peter Cullen, you beautiful soul ~ 🕊️

“Be Strong enough to be gentle.”

Peter Cullen tells the story of how his brother inspired the voice he would use to play Optimus Prime. It’s a simple yet poignant quote that sums up why Optimus and Peter are so beloved.

The image is of a four panel comic. Panel one shows an eldritch god, a skeletal possum like creature with large antlers, saying "I AM AS OLD AS THE FOREST ITSELF". Panel two shows a stick figure saying, "But you must have been a baby at some point?" Panel three shows the eldritch god saying "Well. Yes." Panel four shows a tiny eldritch baby sitting on a rock, his antlers just little twigs.

#portfolioday again?
I draw some weird stuff. Usually colourful. Frequently featuring some sort of weird looking guy (gender neutral). Always available for #commissions of all kinds.
A black smudge angel with pale wings against a yellow orange background A white humanoid with too large hands and no clothes faces a floating disembodied eye in some sort of rocky landscape A burnt out looking dark red entity in a snow landscape A skinny humanoid with a singular large eye in place of a head stands on the platform of what looks suspiciously like Holstein T-banestasjon in Oslo, only the is an ominous obelisk in the background which usually is not present in Nordre Aker

it was such an honour to work on this piece with SEGA & Moor-Art Gallery for Sonic's 35th - since the prints are available now, here's the raw art for it, repping Sonic 1!! 💙

4 pictures of différents woodcarvings Top left : Woodcarved humanoid octopus wearing a robe, arms wide open, in front of a book standing on branches. On the book, a frog. On the right arm, a kinfisher, and on the top of the head of the octopus, a round duck. The base is burn, on that angle it is not really obvious but is water with a slight wave form arround the octopus. On the background, an old door with old white paint. Top right : Woodcarved creature (Siren Head) with very long skeletal arms and legs, also too many ribs. Its head is a pole with two speakers and wires. Those speakers have teeth. On the highest speaker, a nest with a pigeon. Siren Head is extending its left arm, point a finger forward. A pigeon sits on its index. Caption says "Based on Siren Head by Trevor Henderson" Bottom left : Woodcarved humanoid goose wearing plate armour. She's holding a shield and a flanged mace. On the handle of the mace, a red robin landed. The eyes of the goose are made of glass. The feet and the beak are painted in burnt yellow, as the breast of the red robin. The upper part of the robin is painted in brown/grey and its eyes and beak in black. Bottom right : Woodcarved humanoid crow wearing a hooded cloak, shoulder armor. It has its right hand on a sword. A squirrel is climbing its left arm. On the base, a cat is resting.

However, the warming climate & habitat destruction still puts these giants at risk. Hopefully, we can still ignite change to preserve the life around us. 🐼

- Ungrateful -

You have what matters.

A family that wants you.
Friends that stand by you.
The ability to create. To see. To live.

And yet… Why so empty?

Doesn’t that mean anything to you?

... Don’t be so ungrateful.
-
Old ballpoint pen sketch of ruminating on my own unhappiness.

#SaniArts
Ballpoint pen sketch of a character with empty eyes and bandaged torso. The heart is cracked, signifying the feeling of brokenness within. They hold small paper people that shower them with praise and love. But the character seems dissatisfied by all of the good they have. Crushing the paper people or showing indifference. How can one be so ungrateful and yet have so much?
