I joined BlueSky because X is owned by a trillionaire; it is appalling that a trillionaire even exists in a world with so much unnecessary suffering.
France’s #AprèsJ20 endorsed our patient-led journalism ethics complaint concerning WIRED’s “The Painful Truth About Long COVID.”

Their statement calls for accurate, contextualized, scientifically responsible chronic-illness reporting – and international patient solidarity.

“Long COVID has measurable biology — persistent antigen, immune dysregulation, chronic inflammation.
Reporting that ignores the evidence-based science isn't balanced, and it needs to be corrected.”
Thank you for your critical work and your support, @drinflammation.bsky.social!

I wrote about an (informal) memorial I made in a burn scar that killed 1.3 million Joshua trees, nearly the same “official” U.S. death toll of the pandemic.

Now, I plant the yuccas in remembrance of those who died of Long COVID and ME 🪾🪏

As someone living the ravages of Long COVID/post-viral illness: we have to not only support the research being done now, but invest more and make it an international priority. Millions upon millions across the globe - many too sick to post here - are depending on it.

"The work and everyday labor of living with ME/CFS contains this recursive loop of everyday labor of being ill."

For @motherjones.com, I interviewed @elimrogers.bsky.social on her book tracing the history of ME/CFS and what it's like to be exhausted in America. www.motherjones.com/media/2026/0...

Fair and responsible journalism matters. Reporting on these conditions can have very real and damaging consequences, influencing how people are seen, believed and treated.

Journalists have a responsibility to get the facts right, to properly represent the evidence & to make clear when something is opinion rather than established fact.
That really shouldn’t be too much to ask.
