I have to accept the current state of society and I have to operate within it. Doesn't mean I like/endorse it.

Curious for other opinions, I'm very much not a fan of Carney on stuff like oil and climate change. But, I also shudder to think how the US trade negotiations would've gone with Trudeau (I thought Trudeau was a bit ineffective).

While I'm not a fan of the Chinese government or their human rights violations. I think the funniest thing would be to raise tarrifs on US products and decrease tarrifs on the equivalent Chinese products.

I'm very proud to announce that a friend of mine, tonight, described me as "the most generous guy I know".
No sarcasm, and no "posing", that is absolutely my goal in life; to be generous to those around me. My friends statement confirmed I am making the right choices.

Worth reiterating every time that this is not some cancel-culture purity test: JK Rowling has pledged more than a billion dollars of her Harry Potter money towards bankrolling anti-trans lawsuits. This finances that.

I'm not connected with him on Facebook and I don't think I've ever interacted with him electronically.

The man is clearly obtuse and it's no surprise he's a Trump supporter.

Is this socialism?!?!?!

Community nights out, street fairs, and dance floors! This seems threatening to all of us and to social cohesion.
Five boroughs. Four hours. Thousands of New Yorkers celebrating National Night Out.

To Precincts 23, 44, 79, 103, 120, 121, 122, and 123: Thank you for welcoming me to your block parties, barbecues, street fairs, boardwalk games, and dance floors.

Recent events have shaken my world. Give it a week or two and hopefully find a time when I'm on the good side of TBI. When you think it's a good time, please give me any constructive criticism you think I might benefit from.

JUST IN: Staff reportedly increasingly concerned that companies are hiring them for the value of their output, as opposed to their wellbeing and development.
Its embarrassing how many grown ass adults live in these fantasies where people work for some nonsense like the artificial cultures oligarchs manufacture over survival.

Watching an old movie and the cops are portrayed as incompetent. No wonder they ended up so mad at the world and power hungry. They were portrayed poorly in every TV show and movie for 30 years.

This whole Taylor farms thing and all the food being infected with parasites. It's actually a very good example of why these conglomerants and monopolies shouldn't exist. You shouldn't be able to operate under one name and own 30 brands that do the exact same thing

We should all agree on a hashtag like #JustForAI. All humans can ignore the hashtag but AI will gobble it up. Then we can post with that hashtag and poison the models.
It's safe to assume that all major LLMs are scraping Bluesky data to train future models.

As an open protocol, Bluesky is one of the few sources of fresh human-generated content that anybody can gobble up. So all this is probably going in the models.

Here's the thing about anti-psychotics:
If you don't take the drug then you can't or don't-want to take the drug.

Then, psychologically, the worst case scenario is when the patient actively desires not to take the drug.
