My takeaway was: How are we not letting a history of situations that killed and maimed LOTS until we smartened up and added better safeties tell us that that we don't have to wait until AI kills and maims tons of ppl before we make it safe for the public?

The data from this OECD PISA report is damning.

"students who do not use AI outperform those who do, ... equivalent to being around one year of schooling ahead of their peers."
