Favourite composer is always a tough choice, because there are so many good options! I am very partial to Beethoven, Milhaud and Rimsky- Korsakov, because I like to hear interesting rhythms (sorry Mozart and Bach, you do choose great notes, but your rhythms aren’t on that level)

My all time least favourite word is “arguably”. Partly because nearly every time that it’s used, “possibly” would have been a better a choice,
But mostly because it’s so frequently used as “arguably one of the” in cases where it didn’t need to be used at all!

I mentioned how much I enjoy women’s skateboarding. Here’s a clip that appeared a few days ago. Mia Kretzer’s first documented fakie (reverse) 900. She is the first woman to do it, and the first person to do it on a regular sized halfpipe (Bob Burnquist did it on a mega ramp).

Hey BlueSky people, I’ve just read that Trump has hiked tariffs on us (Australia) over “concerns” about “forced labour”, which we don’t do. Remind me, does the US still utilise labour from prison inmates at super cheap? Also, does the US still have thousands of full time workers on SNAP?
