Every time I see a YouTube title that goes “Is [game/series] still worth playing?” I want to throat punch the creator repeatedly.

Questioning if a person’s (or collection of people’s) art is worthless is such a dogshit concept. It is deeply insulting to humanity that the genre exists.

I played the first few hours of Silent Hill Townfall last night. It makes a BIG difference to the plausibility of the environments when a Scottish setting was created by Scottish developers.

No shade to the lovable looseness of Bloober’s locales in SH2R, but this is another level of immersive.

SH2R features disturbing environmental details. The more I look at this range hood, the deeper into madness I’m pulled.

It’s installed to only cover half the range, affixed to the underside of a pre-existing cupboard.

The vent cuts through the cupboard to reach the ductwork, sealed with caulk.

It’s nice when fans of a thing are enthusiastically welcoming and helpful to new fans of their thing. It’s nice when they leave room for the new fans to enjoy it in their own personal context, instead of condescendingly dictating the “correct way” to begin.

Fans should be ambassadors, not zealots

There’s a 5-second deleted scene in Jim Henson’s Labyrinth in which the main girl, after encountering many fantastical beasts & beings, comes across a regular chicken. She pauses for a moment, as though expecting it to start talking, then remarks “oh, it’s just a chicken” and moves on. I love that

I think this is the cleanest MK play I’ve had in ages. An opportunity like this does not come often. Replay mode is made for moments like this.

(I was in third place, drew a mushroom & triple green shell from the item box, while gaining on opponents positioned closely together.)

When we hate on these disgusting immoral evil billionaires it’s bc just look at everything Dolly did. They could be doing that. They could just be helping people and every day they choose not to help people. They choose to harm. And when they die, we’ll dance and laugh and be thankful they’re gone.

Sorry pal: neither Nintendo nor Sony "made" your favorite game.

A group of people working there at that time did. Game companies aren't one single dude making every decision and doing all the work.

Stop treating companies as people or a single monolithic entity, it's fucking weird.
game devs: what are the myths that a lot of players of games think are true about making games that are completely untrue? If you could snap your fingers and they suddenly all knew the truth about it what would it be?

The question isn’t just how much one billionaire pays in taxes. It’s why so much power over technology, resources, and the future of humanity rests in the hands of a tiny oligarchy instead of being democratically controlled by the people who actually make society run.
Elon Musk becoming the world’s first trillionaire isn’t a story of one man’s “genius.” It’s a snapshot of a society where unimaginable wealth piles up at the top while millions struggle with rent, healthcare, and basic needs.

Now that Mina the Hollower is out and I’m playing it, I have zero interest whatsoever in reading peoples’ reactions or opinions on it. Discourse about difficulty and design is exhausting in 2026.

My enjoyment with the game is the only thing that matters, and I am enjoying it very much.

Rolled credits on Mixtape last night. I’m glad games like this are still getting made: Vibesy coming-of-age stories set in hometowns with friends, written to have some poignant moments of earnest reflection. Many scenes put a big smile on my face, or made me laugh out loud at the modes of gameplay.

probably not a good sign for humanity writ large to have created a huge financial incentive structure for people to be aggressively antisocial and antagonistic in public for money and make clear that that's a viable career path

People be talking about EVs today and that's like my whole thing so here's what I've identified as The Problem:

The idea of being inconvenienced AT ALL overrides the average person's ability to consider whether a small inconvenience in one context might be outweighed by upsides in other contexts.

the nicest thing you can wish upon an artist in 2026 is that their work gains a small but dedicated cult following of kind hearted and politically shrewd weirdos & sickos that keep the fire going. the meanest thing you can wish upon an artist in 2026 is that their work gains a large online fandom
