Funny (in a depressing way) to see the studies that were done at businesses 2 years ago now being done in education and showing the exact same results.
"Although some time was saved with AI, that was more than made up for with demand to complete other tasks, resulting in 55 percent of teachers who say they use AI working the same hours as before, and 4 percent saying they work more." Uh-huh. www.theregister.com/public-secto...

This is a great overview of the available research on handwritten notes in school contexts. I remember the phase maybe a decade or so ago where the message was that handwritten notes were "better." It's knew it was more complicated than this, because it always is. substack.com/inbox/post/2...
Handwritten Notes Aren’t a Magical Solution

These feel like, not seen the specific case, the opposite logic to those proud of their personal best at the gym. Yes, you lifted 120kg, such good work tbh. Not with a forklift. With your own body. Let's bring this back to thinking, organising, drawing, etc. Enjoy actually being good at something.
Really tried of the genre of bsky discourse that goes: "Here is an incredibly pointless thing I use LLMs for, now please bsky be normal about it."
