His daughter is playing him, and it is pure genius. The kids are alright.
My daughter lost a tooth yesterday. My wife was traveling, so I handled tooth fairy duties. I left a $10 under her pillow, which I thought was v generous, but she woke up, saw the bill & said: "But why did the Tooth Fairy leave me $20 last time?" 😆

(I wasn't aware my wife had gone so over the top!)

Honest question. Can a bot be sending in these form responses, or is it just a highly coordinated campaign? I know the bot would have to fill in names into the form so probably not, but worth asking.
Holy COW. Text analysis of comments on the OMB rule: overwhelming opposition, overwhelmingly not form letters. (But 9 in 10 comments supporting the rule ARE form responses, LOL)

Whatever happens next, folks have stepped up.

There is still time to submit your comment and tell the government that you don't want US research to be completely destroyed by politicians meddling in individual grants. You can submit your comments here: www.regulations.gov/commenton/OM...
Comments due by Monday on the attempt to politicize science/aka kill American research as we know it. Do it at the link (counter the ton of Heritage-foudnatoin-prompted comments): www.regulations.gov/document/OMB...

Next step: "The algae is blossoming just as we promised. No one has a better green agenda than Trump."
They are reportedly going to use green paint the next time, so they can deny the algae is discoloring the pool.
BASH: How much is it gonna cost to fix? And are you gonna use the same company you did in the no bid contract, or will you open it up to new bids?

BURGUM: We'll use the same company, because they did a fantastic job

What is Doug talking about? All the other physics aside, does he think we have thousands of miles of wind towers in Manhattan? Where are these drones launching from? Newark?
Burgum: "You could launch on attack on the US in the northeast with a bunch of autonomous drones coming through a wind tower field"

This one hell of a way to learn I (a Reform Jew) am actually a Reformed Christian. Thanks, Pete Hegseth for, I guess, converting me.

I love this summary. However, as I watch my state, Alabama, begin dismantling districts represented by the only two Black members of our congressional caucus, the racism doesn't seem to be hiding in the shadows. The standard of intention is so ridiculous when the eventual outcome is so apparent.
The thing about that Supreme Court decision: it’s absurd to suggest that racism is a conscious choice people make that can be proved. Overt, intentional racism does exist, but any social scientist can tell you about 10,000 studies that demonstrate the hostile effects of “unintentional” racism.

In the spirit of libraries, all ameneties will be overpriced, and it will not be open to the public.

90% of my marriage at this point is me sending my husband @thisone0verhere.bsky.social memes and him sending me videos from our bird feeder. I'm just going to say it. We've mastered middle-aged.

[P] Bad Bunny's halftime show featured farmers, a pickup truck, people drinking and having a party, fireworks, the American flag and him saying "God bless America."

Good thing country music fans had the TPUSA show so that they could see anything they could relate to.

The letter from Bill and Hillary Clinton to James Comer explaining their refusal to testify in his Epstein investigation is really remarkable, not like any letter of this genre I've seen. It's signed by them, not a lawyer, and the arguments are not legal ones. Reprinted from their X account:

Let this serve as a reminder to my husband.
Feeling very vindicated as someone who thinks cozy socks are an excellent gift! "I'll go further than that: Socks are a borderline ideal gift. Practical. Affordable. Easily reflective of the recipient's personality. As of today, this is a pro-sock and a pro-sock-as-gift newsletter."

Hear me out. Trump Gelt. Yellow tin foil wrapping with a cheap, tasteless chocolate coin inside. White chocolate, not milk chocolate, for obvious reasons. Perfect for the Jewish kid who, let's be honest, isn't your favorite.

This is stunning.
So you should really watch this. Just 2 minutes. But a window into the truly radical nature of the people Trump is nominating.

When pressed today, the nominee to be Ambassador to South Africa refuses to oppose reinstituting laws to prevent black people from voting in America.

"Mr. President sir the idea is you're constantly flying around in a big jet filled with your own shit in it. Like human shit. Anyways you're wearing a little crown in your little shitmobile and you're dumping the shit out. I think people will like it."
and another thing: he’s not mad. please don’t put it in the newspaper that he got mad.

An antisemite shot two kids in Colorado, at least one of whom is Jewish.

The White House “fighting antisemitism” doesn’t care, because the shooter was a student radicalized online into far right beliefs, which the regime is cool with, rather than a student verbally criticizing Israeli govt policy.
‘Radicalized’ Evergreen High School shooter appeared to hold antisemitic, violent views in online accounts
Social media accounts that appear to be connected to the 16-year-old shooter are littered with references to mass shootings and antisemitic views, The Denver Post found.
