We have invented the mythical man month from classic software engineering book Don’t Invent the Mythical Man Month.
Basically AI allows software engineers to produce shitty code *faster* and in higher volumes which increases the amount time spent on code reviews and revisions nullifying the productivity gained from producing the code in the first place.

This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead

Intressant hur de som säger sig värna om ”kulturen” upprörs över saker som butiksskyltar på främmande språk, men förblir helt tysta när flera nationella museer (som förvaltar den nationella kulturen) står inför ekonomisk kollaps och nedläggning.

“to the victor go the spoils” is basically the whole thing the UN was designed to prevent
Trump: "In January, at my direction, the United States military conducted a massive military operation penetrating deep into the Venezuelan capital ... it was a war. To the victor belong the spoils."

Effective altruism / rationalism is a cult of broken priorities that denies the threat of fossil fuels. This is why Anthropic loves burning gas for power.

The biggest losers are the far right Sweden Democrats, no longer the 2nd largest party. The Social Democrats also did a bad election, but may end up with the prime ministership. Winners: the Liberals (who doubled in size compared to earlier polls), the Left, & the Greens, who both grew from 2022.
