When the Israeli press conference came around, they refused to answer any non-football related questions, after their press spent the whole Irish press conference talking about Hamas and Ireland playing the Nazis in the 1930s.

It's only a military coup if the army shoots someone, otherwise it's just a sparkling use of the threat of military force to undermine the constitutional settlement of the Fourth Republic. Simple

Knowing the circumstances of the upcoming games, the FAI did a trawl of prospective callups and checked with abut 30 of the most likely players to ensure they were comfortable fulfilling those fixtures.
Goalkeepers were not among them.
