To be clear- these are civilians that have stolen homes from others in an area that is not Israel. These kids have engaged in all kinds of violence (see Hilltop Youth). In any other place they would be arrested for these actions- not backed by the military. Yet here we are calling it detainment.
Ro Khanna: “I saw the arrogance in the eyes of the Settlers. 21 & 22 year olds with guns, laughing that they’d detained us. The arrogance of those IDF soldiers... It is the arrogance of power. Of a power that has had no accountability. Total impunity. And it’s created a toxic culture of oppression.”

Hey the NYT finally found a Trump perfidy they feel like speaking out against

Times Journalists Subpoenaed as Trump Escalates Pressure on Media
The Justice Department is seeking to compel testimony from reporters who wrote about the new Air Force One. The Times called the move a “brazen act.”

This kind of copyright troll shit should be always punishable by the corporate death penalty. Break 'em up; they clearly got too big for their britches and they forgot not to be a ratbag of cuntwaffles.
This is bananas. Also, Buc-ee’s kinda’ creeps me out.

absolutely love that we get mRNA vaccines against cancer and an IUD insertion device that didn't start as a torture implement in the middle ages at the same point in medical history
Trials found that Carevix — a portmanteau of “care” and “cervix" — reduced pain during IUD insertion by up to 73 percent and bleeding by 78 percent, compared to the tenaculum.
Why is gynecology still using a Civil War-era tool?
A new medical device is part of a broader effort to make gynecological care less painful — and to take patients more seriously.

The White House was never supposed to be a palace.

George Washington and architect James Hoban deliberately rejected the lavish style of European monarchies. Instead, they designed a President’s House that reflected the ideals of a republic: dignified, restrained, and accountable to the people.

It’s about time the press started scrutinizing why Platner was embraced by the party with so many red flags.

Anyone who follows this account knows I’ve been warning about Waymo since they went live.

Waymo willingly works with I.C.E.
as well as cops.

It’s NOT written explicitly in their policy, but Waymo’s actions are clear.

I’ve personally witnessed evidence obtained from Waymo.

This is very, very bad.
Waymo Takes Revenge, Dropping Drunk Teens Directly Into Squad of Cops
A Waymo vehicle delivered two 15-year-olds, who were drinking alcohol and shooting small water beads out of the car, straight to police.

My 8yo started saying “I hate books/reading” so I nipped THAT shit in the bud by reading “Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky” to her at bedtime. 4 chapters later, the same kid wants more “books with no pictures & big words”.
A sweeping new study has found that daily reading for pleasure in the United States has declined by more than 40% over the last 20 years — raising urgent questions about the cultural, educational and health consequences of a nation reading less.
