Trans rights is inherently a bodily autonomy issue. Just like abortion rights is. We can't have gender equity or reproductive freedom without trans rights. Full stop.

You can yell at me and make up shit that you claim I've said if it makes you feel better. I don't care. I'm right. And you know it.

5 years ago, there were over 100 multidisciplinary gender clinics for trans youth. Today, there are less than 31 (as of July 2026).

bsky.app/profile/esqu...
In 2021, there were roughly 101 gender clinics offering care to transgender youth offering a full range of gender affirming care.

By July 2026, there are only about 31 left that still prescribe hormones and puberty blockers.

Again, 5 years ago, none of these policies existed.

15 states require the forced outing of trans students
16 states ban medicaid coverage of gender affirming care
14 states have "Don't say trans" laws banning discussion of trans people's identities.
29 states have banned participation in sports.

Cis people do not understand how much trans people's rights have regressed in just 5 years.

5 years ago, there were none of these restrictions.

19 states banned legal recognition
21 states have bathroom bans
8 states ban gender marker changes on DLs
25 ban gender affirming care for trans youth

Trans people may want to read this extraordinary thread by practising barrister Naomi Cunningham and decide for themselves whether to report it to the Bar Standards Board.

Democrats are not entitled to our votes. If they want want them, they have to meet us where we're at. If you don't like it, get better policy positions on trans people.

There really are cis people out there shouting at trans people "how can you do this to me?!' because trans people are saying they won't vote for people who want to take our rights away.

It's wild.

"Why won't you vote for the lesser evil for trans people and vote for a transphobic democrat?!"

This is why.
A trans man in the UK has been banned in the workplace restrooms after he was forced to use the women's restrooms to comply with the new EHRC guidance. The women complained because he is visibly male and so they told him he can't use any bathroom.

Regardless of your thoughts on voting strategies, the way trans people are being spoken to and about by self-described "progressives" and "allies" is absolutely wild.

I was told by a Labour MP this week that this couldn’t happen and I was wilfully ignorant.

Damn, I guess she was wrong. I guess I do know what I’m talking about after all.

There are serious issues for Parliament to resolve, to make legal and practical gender recognition for trans people a reality again in the UK.

"if only the EHRC knew what harm was being done to trans people" is some nonsense naivety.

You can keep pretending the Labour government secretly introduced a bathroom ban in 2010 all you like but it is obviously completely at odds with actual events.

Under a UK Labour Gov we have:

The forced cancellation of all Adult trans + surgeries in Wales

The ongoing enforcement of a puberty blocker ban for all trans U18s.

A don't say trans style ban on teachers/support staff discussing trans + issues with pupils in English schools.

No Black people allowed in positions of influence.
No trans people allowed in positions of influence.
No Muslim people allowed in positions of influence.
When close allies of Boris Johnson write about the suitability of someone for an office, I think we can accept there is something else at play rather than some through line of morality that they believe must be adhered to at all times

Harry Potter partnership with Australia Post *ended* because of complaints. ✅
A couple of days ago, Australia post started a promo with HBO for the Harry Potter TV series. It you noticed the app logo changed to incorporate an owl, that's why.

A bunch of people sent in complaints about the association with that revolting TERF JK Rowling.
Today they replied. Partnership ended!

TRANS PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE CONFINED TO THE SHADOWS

I’ve heard from people who are now scared to go out in public, or are avoiding drinking water because they’re worried about using a toilet.

Whatever the legal debate around the EHRC guidance, we can’t ignore its human impact.
