I had been thinking about it for a long time. I was thoroughly addicted to Twitter. I opened it every morning first thing to see what I missed. At some point I realized I didn’t get anything out of it anymore.

This was my last straw too. One of his myriad Great Replacement/white supremacist tweets crossed my feed and I thought: “How the hell can I justify donating free labor that helps increase this guy’s wealth & relevance even infinitessimally?”
I left x despite having a large following bc I don’t want to make free content for the world’s wealthiest racist. It’s not worth it to me.
