The 9th anniversary of the blog (Aug 23) passed by without much fanfare. I waited until after I released the interview to mention it because it's kind of a coming full circle moment: the first post was a (mostly pointless) article on how I came across the Aim for the Ace movie.

(They would be right not to, since Dezaki doesn't refer to a postcard in his description)
FWIW none of the Black Jack commentary tracks conducted on the JP side (Ep 1, 6, and Movie) touch upon the subject either.

I did look through the episode 10 commentary and nothing to do with harmony / postcard memories is discussed.
The Wikipedia page for Dezaki previously cited "Black Jack OAV commentary" for its explanation of the term, so that might be used in the episode 10 commentary. If anyone has access to that DVD (Black Jack - Biohazard) or AnimEigo's release, please give it a look! 2/7

This is good.
I'm not one for the animal antics normally, but despite being all about the animals, I thought it was great.
The camerawork and directing is a lot better than previous entries.

Compared to the previous film, I actually thought it was good overall.

Plamo 2026 happened last weekend and I've selfishly shared the time-stamped portion of this video that shows not one but TWO Nirasai kits entered into the competition. One got 2nd place in diorama! So cool.

Well, I guess I enjoyed it more than Hakujaden (Panda and the Magic Serpent)...
I like the 3D-ish look of the credits.
I don't have any desire to ever rewatch this besides maybe the climax at the end, which has some nice effects animation.

Well, I guess I enjoyed it more than Hakujaden (Panda and the Magic Serpent)...
I like the 3D-ish look of the credits.

You would be forgiven for thinking it seems ironic given that it often emphasizes heightened moments of tension.

I've never particularly wanted a big following, but this is one of those times it would be nice just for wider outreach on these kinds of questions.
