Between 2022 and 2024, USDA, EPA, and FDA built infrastructure for coordinated ag biotech regulation. Whether that infrastructure survives in this administration is an open question. The Farm Bill is now hoping to add a new office to that story. Link in the comments. #AgTech #PatentStrategy

Syngenta: $130m bioscience hub investment at the intersection of biology, AI, and modelling. For anyone in that IP space — startups, TTO offices, biotech investors — the patent implications matter more than the headline. #AgTech #IPStrategy

Turf science for stadiums and crop science for farms use the same IP tools: plant variety protection, plant patents, trade secrets.

Most people only think about sports when they see the pitch. Plant breeders think about IP.

This week we're connecting those two worlds. #WorldIPDay

World IP Day 2026 theme: IP and Sports.

We specialize in agricultural and life sciences IP — but the sports connection is real. Turf grass is patented. Plant breeding feeds the athletes.

Innovation doesn't stay in its original lane.

All week: stories of IP crossing borders. #WorldIPDay

Found a 1960s notepad from my grandfather's farm equipment dealership in Fairmount, Indiana. The slogan: "Don't Say It — Write It."
Sixty years later, still pretty solid advice for anyone in professional services. 🌱
Know your community. Stand behind your work. Play the long game.

IP strategy doesn’t stop at the courthouse door.

With IPR institution rates at historic lows, ex parte reexamination is re-emerging as a meaningful counterpart to patent litigation—sometimes with immediate consequences.

Our latest post explains why.
