RNLI volunteers put themselves in harm’s way to save lives. They should never face abuse or threats for doing so.

That includes the crews based on the Thames, who respond to hundreds of incidents every year.

They deserve to be thanked, not attacked.
Abuse of RNLI volunteers 'wholly unacceptable', chief says
Peter Sparkes says there has been "deliberate misinformation" spread about the charity.

If Reform really did cut £50bn from the benefits bill for working age adults (10 million of whom receive some sort of benefit), then that would mean recipients, most of whom are amongst the poorest in the country, will lose, on average, £5000 each per year. #bbcnews #r4today

An important message!
As gay cruise ships are banned from visiting ports and people on social media suggest we should never exist or be smothered at birth it’s important to remember we stand together, or they pick us off 1 at a time!

I’ve spoken with Jason Watson. He knew exactly what this would cost him.

He gave up his military career to take a brave stand for democracy.

Patriotism that only works with obedience isn’t patriotism.

Now that WI Republicans passed a law banning poor people from buying soda and candy with SNAP benefits, we should immediately ban billionaires and corporations, which benefit from massive tax subsidies, from building fossil fuel plants and AI data centers.

Possibly one of the best scenes in British comedy ever. It's right up there with Fawlty Towers and the wildebeest scene.

GB News has turned into the Reform channel.

After a New World investigation found hundreds of breaches of the rules on accuracy and impartiality, Ofcom has failed to do its job and act.

We've seen what Fox News has done to politics in the US. We can't let it happen here.

Great to be out in Ripley today alongside Cllr Merel Rehorst Smith. Lots of chats focusing on Mays elections to the new West Surrey Council, the challenges that it faces (especially due to debts built up under previous Conservative’ administrations) but also the opportunity for a fresh start.

In the first seven weeks of 2026, sewage has been flowing into the River Itchen for over 400 hours and counting - and that was in just one monitoring site.

This is unacceptable. If we fail to protect chalk streams now, we risk losing them forever.

The £300m that we have secured in a whole host of areas shows just how serious we are about getting stuff done.

With the Scottish Liberal Democrats, you get grown-up, sensible politics.

You can get more of that by backing us in May on your second, peach-coloured ballot paper.
