Massive self own here. It’s so easy to moan about bikes when you fail to see (or acknowledge) the totally normalised behaviour of the van in the background. No mention of that of course, it wouldn’t suit the narrative.

Usual nonsense. A years driving ban.

But atleast we know she was riding a £6k bike, that’s really important information. No mention of the cost of the drivers car though

It is horriying to think that an entire generation is coming of age knowing nothing but Donald Trump and the nastiness that is our political culture. I shutter to think about what the implications of this will be for an already weakened democracy.

Every time you see a detailed breakdown of opinion poll demographics, the over-65s always have the worst, and most mean-spirited views on every subject. When people say that you become more right-wing as you age, they really mean 'spiteful'.

There was once a time, many moons ago, when Glinner would have torn someone a new arsehole over a comment like this. No demographic is of his bat shit crazy homophobic, transphobic, racist radar it seems

Calling transphobia a 'gateway drug' to the far right undersells it. It's pure accelerant. Grimly fascinating to guess what crankery becomes any famous transphobe's secondary obsession, cos they all have one: 15 minute cities are fascism! Grok noncing is cool! ICE are good! We should kill all dogs!

This is exactly the same playbook Graham Linehan uses against trans people, where defending trans rights is cast as defending "rape" and "paedophilia." He uses "rape" and "paedophilia" as punchlines, and, therefore, all of his hate speech and advocation for violence against his enemies is justified.

Graham Linehan did a podcast with Joey Barton (convicted of kicking his wife in the head), supports Trump, thinks the murder of Reneé Good was justified, advocated for the repeal of American women's voting rights, and works with the misogynistic Religious Right. And that's a non-exhaustive list.

Strange isn't it... the people who actually live in London overwhelmingly think it's safe.... almost like everyone else is falling for a lie
I wonder what Londoners know that the rest of the country don’t?

xitter is not a country. it is a shit, barely functional platform entirely taken over by nazis and pedophiles. it has nothing to offer anyone who is not one of those two things.

even if every single social media platform imploded RIGHT NOW, people will have moved on to a new one inside a week.

The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

I've got to say, the legacy content most of us have on Twitter is something I would be truly sad to lose. But let's be frank - fuck that, we're looking at the spread of fascism and open sexual abuse there. If you oppose shutting it down in the UK, get a sense of perspective.
The threat to shut X in the UK is a threat to the whole far right ecosystem.

They're going to throw everything at stopping it because they know it would cause them almost irreparable damage.

That's not the case for more moderate voices on left and right who have choices..

Graham Linehan is cheering for a man who shot a woman in the face while calling her a fucking bitch.

JK Rowling sits on her hands.

Meanwhile, Posie Parker is tweeting that women should stay at home while men work.

Tell me how the "gender critical" movement is a women's rights movement again?
