Marking the 150th anniversary of the rescue of six Fenian leaders from Fremantle Prison by the whaling ship Catalpa. The flag of the Catalpa will be on display at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, on Saturday, 18th and Sunday, 19th April 2026 only.

Film about the rescue of the 13 young boys from a cave in Thailand on RTE right now. Such a moving story. Marred by remembering how Elon Musk called one of the rescuers a pedo guy after his stupid idea to send in a wee submarine was rejected. Such is the world we live in.
