I also remember that when all the polls showed that the eighth amendment was going to be repealed by an overwhelming margin, the Guardian speculated (on the morning of the poll) that it could lose because of a silent majority of conservatives in the rural backwaters.

I wasn’t in the first two times but was on my own the third time.
One guy had a knife and the other had a baseball bat with nails in it.
