I recommend to you this podcast series about Dolly Parton by Jad Abumrad (creator of Radio Lab). You may ask: how did a MacArthur Award winning pub radio guy meet Dolly? Because she personally funded his father's vaccine research, that's how.

Five months ago, on Feb. 26, 2026, the Strait of Hormuz was and open international waterway, as it had been for decades.

Five months later, thanks to Trump's war, the Strait is closed, we've lost 18 service members and spent ~$100b, and the U.S. is neither as liked nor as trusted nor as feared.

You have more in common with the people of Iran than you do with anyone in this administration, any member of the technocracy, anyone who is profiting from this war, or any billionaire. When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.

The information we have about the Iran War is incomplete and unreliable and it’s still clearly a debacle. The full story is likely much worse.
